You’ve Got a Way Home
Life will always find a way to knock you off center.
Sometimes it’s a loss you didn’t see coming.
Sometimes it’s an old fear that slips back in.
Sometimes it’s just life doing what life does, unpredictable and messy.
For a long time, I didn’t know how to find my way back.
I’d lose my peace, my focus, and my sense of who I was.
I’d get caught in the noise, reacting, fixing, proving, doing.
And then I’d wonder why I felt empty all over again.
It wasn’t until I learned to Let go. be. that I found my way home.
That pause became my reset button,
the breath that brought me back to myself.
But the pause was just the beginning.
Because once I created space, I had to decide what to do with it.
That’s where GRIT came in.
Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity,
four simple words that became my roadmap.
A check-up from the neck-up that guides me when life feels too heavy.
When I feel lost, I go back to Growth and ask,
what is this moment here to teach me?
It keeps me out of blame and brings me back to learning.
When life knocks me down, I lean on Resilience and ask,
how can I rise from this instead of running from it?
That’s how I remind myself that failure is never final.
When I drift, I turn to Integrity and ask,
are my actions matching the person I want to be?
It pulls me back into alignment, one honest moment at a time.
And when I want to quit, I hold on to Tenacity and remind myself,
I can rest, but I don’t have to give up.
That’s where strength builds quietly, in the staying.
Let go. be. gives me the space to pause,
GRIT gives me the practice that moves me forward.
Together, they keep me steady, centered, and real.
No matter what falls apart around me,
I’ve got a way home.
It’s not a place,
it’s a practice.
It’s the moment I stop reacting and start remembering who I am.
It’s when peace becomes power,
and alignment becomes my anchor.
That’s the gift of GRIT.
It doesn’t just help you get through hard things,
it teaches you how to live through them with grace, courage, and truth.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to be willing to come back.
And every time you do,
you’ll find yourself a little more unshakable than before.
Reflection:
When life pulls you off center, do you reach for control or for truth,
and what would it look like to find your way back through GRIT instead of reaction?
No matter what’s falling apart, you’ve got a way home.
