“Raw. Unfiltered. Life-changing.”

ABOUT THE BOOK

I didn’t write this book because I figured life out. I wrote it because I remember exactly who I used to be.

I remember replaying conversations in my head. Rewriting what I should have said. Beating myself up for how I handled things.

I remember handing my power to people with bigger titles and then resenting them for holding it.

I remember trying to look like I had it all together while everything inside me was falling apart.

And I remember drinking just to quiet the noise in my own head.

This book is about addiction. But it’s also about something deeper than that.

It’s about the small moments.

The reactions. The defensiveness. The stories we create in our own heads that slowly wear us down.

Because I didn’t lose everything in one big moment.

It happened over time. One reaction at a time. One decision at a time. One moment where I gave myself away.

When I sat down to write this book, I wasn’t trying to teach anything. I just needed to tell the truth about what I had lived.

But after I finished it, I saw something I had never fully put into words.

I could not have lived GRIT without the Pause.

Let go.be came first.

Not as a concept. Not as a framework. Just as a moment where I stopped.

Stopped reacting. Stopped feeding the story in my head. Stopped trying to fix, prove, or control everything around me.

Just long enough to not make things worse.

That pause changed everything.

And what came after that was GRIT.

Growth meant taking responsibility for my actions and looking at my part in what I was feeling instead of blaming everyone else.

Resilience meant staying in it when everything in me wanted out.

Integrity meant my words and my actions finally starting to match.

Tenacity meant I kept showing up even when I was tired, scared, or not seeing results yet.

This book won’t fix your life overnight.

But if you see yourself in these pages, if you recognize the patterns, the reactions, the way your mind works, then maybe you’ll start to see it too.

The moment right before you give your power away.

And maybe, just maybe, you’ll pause long enough to choose something different.

I didn’t write this book because I’m proud of my past. I wrote it because I’m not ashamed of it anymore.

And if you’re reading this, you’re not alone.

That will fill the page better because you are turning all the short broken lines into fuller paragraphs without changing your words.

If you want it to fill even better, make only these three lines their own stand-alone lines:

I could not have lived GRIT without the Pause.
Let go.be came first.
That pause changed everything.
